In this chapter's conclusion, we explored the judiciary's significant role in maintaining democratic order in India. Despite facing tensions with the executive and legislative branches, the judiciary's prestige has grown, as it has established itself as a protector of citizens' rights. Citizens' concerns about inequality in judicial outcomes and the challenges posed by powerful interests underline the judiciary’s importance in addressing both traditional legal matters and broader societal injustices. The chapter stresses the ongoing need for vigilance about the judicial system's integrity and its ability to fulfill its constitutional mandate within the parameters dictated by law.
