The Scrum Master acts as a facilitator for the Scrum team. Their primary role is to ensure that the Scrum process is being followed correctly and to remove any obstacles that the development team might face. The Development Team is composed of professionals who work together to deliver the product increment at the end of each sprint. This team is cross-functional, meaning it includes members with various skills and specializations essential for the product. Consider the Development Team as a band of musicians, each playing a different instrument. To create a beautiful song (the product), each musician contributes their unique sound and expertise. Together, they collaborate to ensure that their music comes together harmoniously.

Where does the BA fit in? ● May assist the Product Owner in backlog grooming, writing user stories, facilitating communication, and defining acceptance criteria. ● Acts as a bridge between business needs and development clarity.

The Business Analyst (BA) plays a vital role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and the Scrum team. They may assist the Product Owner in refining the product backlog, crafting clear user stories that express the needs of the end users, and defining what success looks like through acceptance criteria. This ensures that the development team has a clear understanding of what is required.

Think of the BA as an interpreter at a conference.
