Environmental Policy
In this chapter, we explore the concept of environmental policy, a critical subset of public policy that aims to address pressing environmental issues such as climate change, pollution, and resource conservation. Environmental policy serves as a set of decisions and actions taken by governments aimed at creating sustainable solutions and protecting the natural environment for current and future generations. This section highlights the characteristics of effective environmental policies, the process by which they are formulated, and the role of governance in ensuring these policies are implemented effectively. Through an understanding of how governance and public policies work in tandem, citizens can better grasp their role in advocating for and participating in the development of robust environmental policies that benefit society.
